In its judgement of 12 May 1998 - 312 O 85/98 - ""Liability for Links"", the Regional Court of Hamburg ruled that by creating a link, one may also be responsible for the contents of the linked page. According to the court, this can only be prevented by expressly distancing oneself from these contents.
